cosmetic periodontal surgery - before

Cosmetic Periodontal Surgery

Root Coverage | Microsurgery | Interdental Enhancement | Pre-Prosthetic

To help our patient feel and look great, cosmetic periodontal surgery can be done to cover exposed root surfaces and prevent gum recession. Other procedures remove excessive tissue to improve your gums architecture and aesthetic appearance. If you are unhappy with the appearance of long or short teeth, this can be greatly improved by a combination of periodontal procedures by Dr. Porras.

periodontal - after

Cosmetic Procedures include:

Root Coverage Procedure

In Root Coverage we take gum tissue from the palate to assist in coverage of the exposed root.

A patient that has a Dental Implant or more Dental Implants placed or that has excessive gingival recession can have Root Coverage Surgery done. Soft tissue grafts are used to cover roots and to create a natural look. We cover exposed roots to protect them from decay and reduce tooth sensitivity. This in turn improves the esthetics of your smile as well.

Microsurgery

Due to the small size of instruments used here, we can perform surgery with less surgical opening, minimal tissue and patient trauma. It allows more precise closure of the surgical areas which makes the recovery virtually painless.

Interdental Enhancement Procedure

Pre-Prosthetic Procedure- In order to give a total lift to the gums or to reshape them, Dr. Porras uses this laser procedure to do that.

periodontics
